Lord Byron-TDD-Houdini...what should his name be?

Image001

This morning started out pretty normal. I got up early and saw the kids off to school. That doesn’t happen too often but Justin was going over to his friends after school. He plans to spend the night so I wanted to see him before he left. James woke up about 7 ish and I fixed breakfast, eggs, sausage, biscuits with gravy. Well I had put the dogs outside in the backyard as usual. I went to let them back in and only Angel and Frodo came in. I called out for Byron and of course he didn’t answer. <G> I didn’t think much of it cause sometimes he takes a while so I went and did a couple more chores. I went back outside to get him and he was not anywhere to be found. I was rather baffled as to how he got out. I looked around the backyard to see if I could find any big enough holes for him to get through. I didn’t see any at the time. I went back inside and told James. He said we could go look for him after he finished up something on the computer. So he looked outside and saw Byron down the street. As James got closer, Byron picked up speed the opposite direction. This is the second time that he has manage to get away from us. (more about that later) Anyway, I started to head in the direction that Byron was. Every time he looked back at me and saw me, he started walking a little faster and left me behind. Somewhere along the way he tried to cross the street. I closed my eyes cause I didn’t want to see him get hit! Thankfully the cars slowed down. Someone actually got out of his car in the middle of the road and tried to help catch him.   I started walking faster, and then I tripped on an uneven part of the sidewalk. SPLAT! I managed to scrap my palms of my hands and one of my knees. They hurt a little but it was mostly my pride that was hurt since I had about 5 cars that were stopped at the time watching me fall. Lol

By the time I was able to pick myself up, James was close by with the car. He went to fetch the dog and I got in the car to meet up with him.

Thankfully Byron didn’t get hurt. James decided that maybe his name should be “That Damn Dog” or TDD for short. I think we should rename him Houdini. What do you think?

Here is a picture of TDD…Houdini…aka Lord Byron with Kristina.
