2016-2017
It has been a while since I blogged! The year 2016 was pretty much a blur. In March of 2016 we lost my Dad. He was in the hospital for a week and everything shut down. He passed away on my brother's birthday on March 20th. On April 26, 2016, I had my first brain surgery to remove a non-malignant tumor behind my right ear. I had already had hearing loss in that ear because of the tumor. Once the surgeon got in there he saw that the tumor was wrapped around my facial muscle and what helps me balance. This is why I was having a hard time being able to walk or do simple things. After surgery that took more than 12 hours, I was in ICU for 2 days. Then I went to a regular room. In all I think I was in the hospital for a week. I then was transferred to a rehabilitation place to help me relearn how to walk. I stayed there for 3 weeks. I was still having blinding headaches.
