Sermon Notes:"Heart Surgery"

We go to Coastal Community Church in West Ashley. West Ashley is just a part of Charleston, SC. Anyway, I am going to be putting up some of my notes that I have gotten from some of the sermons from our Pastor Chris Rollins. We started going to Coastal back when we lived off of Wappoo Rd. We haven't lived there in quite a while so i am guessing at least 6 years. The kids were still at home at the time when we started to go to Coastal. You can find the audio version of the sermons on their website at: coastalcommunitychurch.org This sermon is called "Heart Surgery" After God's Heart-Part 7 and is from November 12, 2017 "But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." 1 Samuel 16:7 "Spend your time and energy in training yourself for spiritual fitness. Physical exerc

Recipe: Oven Fried Chicken Parmesean

Oven Fried Chicken Parmesean 1lb boneless skinless chicken breasts 1 clove garlic minced (yes, you can use the garlic in water if you really want to) 1/4 cup butter 1/2 cup grated parmesan 1/2 cup bread crumbs (If you’re a novice, go ahead and get the Italian crumbs and skip the rest of the seasoning in the recipe) 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning salt/pepper to taste (estimate 1/4 tsp or so) marinara sauce (or a jar of spaghetti sauce) pasta of your choice (prepare according to directions) 1 cup grated mozzarella  Instructions First, take out all of your pent up aggression on your chicken breasts. Before pounding them, I do recommend covering with wax paper and setting your cutting board on a towel or two to absorb some of the shock. This part is kind of fun, I use a rolling pin, but a mallet would do. Pound the chicken until it’s about 1/2″ thick. Cut the breasts in half. Preheat your oven to 350˚. Melt the 1/4 cup butter over low heat and add the garlic. In a shal

"Do it on a dime"

Hey all, I am on several groups and one group someone mentioned "Doing it on a Dime" with Katherine. She is on YouTUBE. I just watched her cleaning video and might try her method and see how it goes. 1. Monday: Clean bathrooms 2. Tuesday: Kitchen this includes surfaces and inside fridge.  3. Wednesday: Entry way and Dining room 4. Thursday: Bedrooms: dust, change sheets, straighten, vaccum  5. Friday:  Guest room or office 6.  Saturday: Grocery/ outside entry 7. Sunday: Rest I think that was it. She has a lot of cool ideas! Also helps with organization. Go check her out. I am a true believer when it comes to the Flylady system. I have followed her for years. However, the method that Katherine does seems pretty easy and you are not having to do a lot of work everyday.

2016-2017

It has been a while since I blogged! The year 2016 was pretty much a blur. In March of 2016 we lost my Dad. He was in the hospital for a week and everything shut down. He passed away on my brother's birthday on March 20th.    On April 26, 2016, I had my first brain surgery to remove a non-malignant tumor behind my right ear. I had already had hearing loss in that ear because of the tumor. Once the surgeon got in there he saw that the tumor was wrapped around my facial muscle and what helps me balance. This is why I was having a hard time being able to walk or do simple things. After surgery that took more than 12 hours, I was in ICU for 2 days. Then I went to a regular room. In all I think I was in the hospital for a week. I then was transferred to a rehabilitation place to help me relearn how to walk. I stayed there for 3 weeks. I was still having blinding headaches. Turns out I had a spinal fluid leak! They went in again on May 20 and tried to repair it. I then was in rehab
