Day 1: Intro and recent picture

      My name is Katy Moffitt and I live with my hubby James in North Charleston, SC. We have been married for 27 1/2 yrs.  We have lived in North Charleston area for two years now. We have lived in SC for about 17 years now. We have been out of Texas for 20 years as of this past August. Our children range from 31 to 22. We have four kids. Justin is the youngest and is living in Downtown Charleston with his girlfriend. He is going to College of Charleston and majoring in Management. He is thinking about going into law.
  Kristina age 25, just moved back to Charleston on January 15 and will be starting a new job today!
  Jeremy is now 31 and lives in Michigan. He was 3 when I first met him and then I met James at a party we had at First Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. I met them at a Mash party that we went to. I hung out with Jeremy while James played volleyball. He came over at one point to see who Jeremy was talking to. Somewhere in there we (James and I) started to see each other. We got engaged in Dec of 1989 and got married in May of 1990!
Our daughter Jessica, she would have been 27 this past September 11. She died of a brain tumor in August 5, 2001. She was 10 1/2 and was just short of being 11 on the 11th of September. 
  James is an IT Regional manager for Wyndham Vacation Rentals on Kiawah Island, SC.  I am on disability. I used to be a Special Education Teacher and mostly substituted for Berkeley County. We have been Empty Nesters for about 4 yrs now.
I have three furbabies: Willow, who is 5 1/2, Misty is 14 months and Callie, who is 5 months old.

What to do at 3 in the morning?

Well here I sit at the computer and its nearly 3:30 in the morning now. I started getting sick yesterday at school. I was sneezing like crazy most of the day. When I got home I started taking meds. I took everything from Claritin (thinking it might be my allergies) to Theraflu and so far no real relief. Then about 11:45pm I took something that had an antihestomine (not sure what it was since it was out of the box) I figure good something that would dry me up. Well it actually did dry me up however I have been a wake most of the night. UGHHH!! I was suppose to work today but when i woke up at 11:45 pm and good not hardly talk or do much else i called in to the lady that assigns the subs and told her i could not work. Yesterday, Justin was sick with a low fever and coughing. I am hoping to be able to send him to school today. He has missed 8 days of school so far this year and can not miss anymore than 10 before they decide to retain him. I would rather he not have to stay in 3rd grade a

                                                                 My Scar     “OUCH”, I said to David. He and I were goofing off during band practice one day. He twisted my right wrist.   I didn’t think much of it at the time. It hurt a little but I soon forgot all about it. Then   about a week later I started having pains in my right wrist.   I was having a hard time being able to bend it. I noticed a large bump formed under the skin on the top of my wrist. I didn’t tell my parents. I figured they wouldn’t believe me and would think it was just growing pains.   It wasn’t until I was in my first semester of college that I noticed that the bump on my wrist was getting bigger. Since Mom used to work with a hand surgeon, she still had connections. So I went to see the Dr. and we set a date for the surgery. It would be on January 13, 1978.
