Busy Busy

Well it is now the close of the first 9 weeks at our school district. YEAHHH!! Our kids at school have a day off on Monday so the teachers can regroup and get the grades together etc. So for this year as gone pretty good. I only have 3 kids in my class and I teach 6 or 7 classes. I have lost count...I teach: Social Studies, Science, Writing, Reading, Math, Social Skills. I think that is it. We have been studying WATER in science class. I am so glad that we are finished with Water...course all this time we were also getting rain like crazy...so i was dealing with water experiements on the inside while it was having water on the outside. One cool thing though is when I was collecting water for our samples of water. I came across water by our classroom and it had tadpoles in it. So we now have 12 tadpoles that eventually will turn into frogs. I just transfered them over to a different container. It takes several months for them to transform into frogs but it should be fun to see the trans...

Women of Faith Conference

Friday the 21st I turned 35, oh I mean 45...LOL Memory laps...I wish it was 35. I did not think of myself as being old until I told one of my students in a class I had on Thursday that I was going to be 45 on Friday. Actually I made her guess how old I was. hehe She said "37" ..I said "I wish..No 45". She exclaimed, "Mrs M you are OLD"! LOL Well needless to say I came home depressed Thursday. I guess I opened myself up for that one. hehe Silly me... Friday I had lots of errands to do which included getting my license renewed. For anyone else this is like NO big DEAL! Well I was sweating the eye exam. The lady told me to look in the eye thingy(technical term) and I did. I read the two columns. Well supposedly there were THREE columns. So she got a young kid to read it to verify that there were 2 or 3 columns. He said there were 2..Oh no there is the 3rd one. Well then she had me read it with my left eye instead. Author Book Review: Frieda McFadden

I know it's been a while since I have written in here. Just been busy surviving the pandemic. I think it's nearing the end. James and I both got our vaccinations and are doing fine. I will write more of an update later. Right now I would like to focus on the book that I just read. As some of you might know, I am an avid reader. Each year, I have a Reading Challenge that I do on Good Reads. This year I am reading 75 books. In the years past, I haven''t read that much because I was in school. However, since I have been out of school since 2012, I have averaged at least 50 books a year.     My Mom was a very strong reader and would read probably 3 to 4 novels a week easy.
