Ode to Molly Girl

This day didn’t start out very good. I ended up waking up at 5:30 thinking it was 6:30. I looked at my watch wrong. When I was trying to look at the computer I couldn’t focus on the words on the page. I thought maybe I was still tired. Turns out I had the wrong glasses on. I had put James’ glasses on instead of my own. It reminds me of the scene with Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton in “Somethings Gotta Give”.

Well then right after James left, I had the big door open and only had the screen door closed where I could at least look out. The couple next door motioned to me to come outside. I came out side and looked at what they were pointing at and it was Molly, evidently she had been dead for quite a while. She didn’t look like she had been hit by a car so I am not sure what happened. She was pregnant and the only thing that I can guess is that she wanted to have the babies inside and just didn’t make it home in time. It is one of those things we will never know.

Some of the things I will miss about Molly. She would wait for me while I went to the bathroom outside of the door. She liked to climb on things and liked to sit right in front of the t.v. She would follow Justin around and he was really the only one she would go sit with. My favorite thing she did was when she was outside and wanted in she would climb the screen door and peek into the window of the wood door. I am sure I will think of other things she did later. We will miss her. She was a good kitty. She leaves behind one brother, Jasper and her daughter Dutchess. They both reside with us.
