Boo Boo's,Report cards, concerts etc....

Well last Monday I started my long-term substitute position at Sangaree Elementary. It has truly been an adventure already. Last week, I got to go with the class to Wannamaker Park to see the "Touch of the Earth" tour. It has the various Indian tribes that tell about their different tribes and I really liked it alot. I have pictures to share soon. Last Thursday was a half a day for kids and parent/teacher conferences for the rest of us. I had one of the parents come in to meet me and talk about her son. Last week we were having problems with transportation and how i was going to get from Sangaree elementary to Walmart on Monday, Wens. and Thursdays. Most of the teachers there live in or around Summerville. We have since solved the transportation issue. I have a Ford Escort station wagon that we are buying on payments. PTL
I am really enjoying having a smaller car that sips gas compared to the bigger station wagon.

Wel this morning I managed to hurt my right pointer finger while trying to go down the steps of our porch. I missed a step and grabbed on to the rail. It gave way since it was loose anyway...so i grabbed on to a metal section of the bottom cover of the mobile home. (I am sure it has a name but just can't think of it right now.) Anyway, I managed to do a good job on cutting my finger. I went to the school nurse to get it taken care of cause i did not want to miss work. I am thankful that it was just my finger and not a broken bone.

Today the kids got their report cards. Justin made AB honor roll. Kristina made 2 A's 2 B's and a C in PE. This just about devasted her. She has NEVER made a C. I wrote a letter to the PE teacher to at least find out "WHY" she got the C so that next time she has PE she will know what NOT to do. Somehow she went from a 92 which is a B+ to a C+ within 3 weeks time from her Progress report. That to me is a dramatic drop and is questionable.
Tonight Justin had his first play/concert from his Dolphin Company at school. I really believe God took care of us on this.....you wonder why i say that...well....I did not find out that he even HAD a concert until last night when I was working the fitting room/ and answering phones. A customer came in to get some tan pants for her daughter for the concert. I happened to ask what school. Lo and Behold it was Justin's school. hehe
I called Justin and he was clueless. It dawned on me later that last week he had to miss a practice for the chorus and that is when she probably told them that they had a concert and passed out the fliers. Then on Thurs they had a half a day and Friday was a holiday for them.
So it was amazing to me that we found out about it at all. Justin had a speaking part and I did not want him to miss it. Also we were able to find some pants that he could wear so we did not have to buy him any pants. So that was a blessing.
After we went to the concert we went to church for the first Praise Dance Team practice for the teens.
Kristina is now part of the Praise Team. They did pretty good for the first practice.
Well its about time to find something to fix for supper for James and get ready for tomorrow. I have found that i need to get up at 5:45 in the morning in order to get out of here by 6:30 to get to school by 7:05.
Well will try to write more soon.
