I just got a devotional from an elist that i am on. I wanted to share what it said: We all know the story of Noah's Ark, however we may have overlooked important lessons from Noah's experience. I wrote about James hurting his thumb the other day. You do not realize how much you use the thumb until it is not usable. You can't button up buttons. You can't put on a tie. It is hard to go to the restroom (clearing throat). hehe Among other things. James wanted to bowl on his league last night and indeed he did try to practice. However, it was just not going to happen since he is right handed and it was his right thumb that met up with the truck door. So once he figured out that he could not play we watched others bowl for a while and then we went home. We watched Smallville, which is one of our favorite shows. It was a rerun but we don't care! Then we continued with our marathon of watching "Surface". For the past couple of nights after watching that show I keep dreaming about the characters in it. Can you tell i am impressionable? hehe Kids are gone to Carawinds and I had planned to work on cleaning Justin's room and possibly painting it. Somehow though...

Monday we went to a funeral of someone from our church. James went to the grave side service (I went to go help with the heating up of food for the reception). The service was at the same place that Jessica is buried. James went by her grave to check on the flowers. Evidently there has been an increase in population out there since we have gone and he had a hard time finding the grave. Anyway, he thought he had propped the truck door open when he got out. However, somehow he forgot to get his right thumb out of the way and it got caught in the door. OUCH!! He went to the Dr. yesterday to see if he could relieve pressure since the nail was really blue. Well, turns out they will only do that in the first few hours from when you slam the door on your finger. The Dr. did x-ray it though and said that it looked like a bone had chipped on the thumb. So he put James in a splint and gave him some pain killers to help him with the pain. James managed to still be able to get on the computer thou...

Well, Summer is upon us and its getting hotter outside. I prefer to stay inside now that I am older and wiser. I just can't take the heat like i use to when i was younger. Last week Kristina was gone for a week and I wrote about cleaning her room. I got it cleaned up and did some more cleaning here and there around the house. (shocked James) lol But ran out of steam by Thursday. Friday I took Justin see Pirates of the Caribbean. I had not seen the first two movies so much of the 3rd movie did not make a lot of sense to me. Johnny Depp was good though in the movie, even though I am not a Johnny Depp fan usually. I also took Justin to Target to get something. Dropped him off to go in while i parked the car. Well when i went inside to find him, I was rushing because i had to get to the other side of town before 5:30. Well i was going a little bit faster walking than i should have when i lost my balance and fell down. BAM ! This lady helped me up. I thought...that was really smart...

Well it is Tuesday, James and I took Kristina and Wesley (teen from church) to Agape Camp in Batesburg , SC (SALUTE). Little bitty town that reminded James and I of our days in Georgia. Anyway, we got up at 6 in the morning to take the kids to camp. The great plan was to go early and drop them off and get home so that James could get to work by 12. Well, that did not work worth beans. lol We got to the camp site at 9 in the morning and alas NO one was awake. Turns out the registration was not until 6 that night. Well, we talked to Chuckie (one of the leaders) and he said to hang tight for a couple of hours and maybe we could drop them off a little later. So that is what we did. We found a McDonald's and got breakfast. James settled in to check his email. Located an electrical outlet and got him plugged in. Well, we had hardly gotten the food down that James tells me that he is on "Battery Power" and that the electrical outlet is not working. So he moves to another spot ...

Well, it is hard to believe but it has been almost a year since i have written in my blog. Shame on me. Alot has happened since last summer. Let's see Bailey, my kitty ended up being a snack for a fox in March. James and I had gone to the Parent's getaway with Happy Days (like we go every year) but this time Bailey was outside when we left. He usually comes home and will get in by dark. Well, he did not come home before we left. Then he ended up being gone all that weekend according to the kids. We came home and he still was not home. By that time i was starting to fear the worst. Well sure enough, Bailey was found dead in someone's yard. I was really sad for about 2 weeks and felt really bad that he had gotten out and stayed out so long. James found someone that was fostering a kitten and got it set up for me to get him. His name is K.C. and we got him the week of Spring Break (April 3). He was about 8 weeks old at that time.
