What to do at 3 in the morning?

Well here I sit at the computer and its nearly 3:30 in the morning now. I started getting sick yesterday at school. I was sneezing like crazy most of the day. When I got home I started taking meds. I took everything from Claritin (thinking it might be my allergies) to Theraflu and so far no real relief. Then about 11:45pm I took something that had an antihestomine (not sure what it was since it was out of the box) I figure good something that would dry me up. Well it actually did dry me up however I have been a wake most of the night. UGHHH!! I was suppose to work today but when i woke up at 11:45 pm and good not hardly talk or do much else i called in to the lady that assigns the subs and told her i could not work. Yesterday, Justin was sick with a low fever and coughing. I am hoping to be able to send him to school today. He has missed 8 days of school so far this year and can not miss anymore than 10 before they decide to retain him. I would rather he not have to stay in 3rd grade a...

Cure for Messiness

I decided to start writing in a bigger font so I can actually read what I am writing. :) If you know of a cure for messiness please share. One of the sayings I have heard from James since we have been married: "Everything has a place. Everything in its space" Or something to that effect. Granted, it would be wonderful if things would stay in one place. Then it would actually be there when you needed it. However, since there are two people in the house, things tend to be put in different places. So for the past 28 years I have strived to keep the place we live clean. I struggle. I will admit it. When we had our kids, they were a good excuse for why things were messy. They always had their toys out. Now that they are grown and gone, I can now have my breakable stuff out without fear of it getting destroyed. OK, well, I wish. There are always the cats that tend to break things. Author Book Review: Frieda McFadden

I know it's been a while since I have written in here. Just been busy surviving the pandemic. I think it's nearing the end. James and I both got our vaccinations and are doing fine. I will write more of an update later. Right now I would like to focus on the book that I just read. As some of you might know, I am an avid reader. Each year, I have a Reading Challenge that I do on Good Reads. This year I am reading 75 books. In the years past, I haven''t read that much because I was in school. However, since I have been out of school since 2012, I have averaged at least 50 books a year.     My Mom was a very strong reader and would read probably 3 to 4 novels a week easy.
